Fortune names IMA a top workplace for parents
IMA ranked 46th on the national list, which is based on anonymous employee feedback, as well as benefits that help mothers and fathers participate fully in their organizations.
The ranking considered the results from more than 120,000 surveys of U.S. employees across a range of industries. IMA and other winning businesses excelled in parents' assessment of their companies' fairness, camaraderie, professional opportunities and other factors essential to a rewarding career.
“At IMA, we’re always looking at progressive policies to help our associates have a healthy work-life balance,” said IMA Financial Group, Inc. Chief People Officer Kyle Orndorff. “Unlimited paid time off, 12-week parental leave and remote work policies provide an environment for employees to be engaged at home, at work and in the community. Fortune’s employer recognition is one of the most prestigious in the country, and we’re honored it is highlighting IMA’s family-friendly culture.”
IMA understands that the benefit of a supportive workplace for parents extends to their colleagues, as well. Research from Great Place to Work has found that high-trust workplaces often experience lower turnover and faster revenue growth than their peers.
"Supportive colleagues, trusting managers and equal opportunity for advancement: The strengths of The Best Workplaces for Parents benefit all of their employees," said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. "The culture of professional respect at these companies is especially valuable for mothers and fathers as they meet the simultaneous challenges of work and family life."
